Kids nowadays just surprises us with how quick they learn from what they see or heard! It's such a wonderful thing to see them every day with a new ability they learned. It all pays off the hard work, labor and sleepless moments. Some of the few surprises he does now are these:
I can still remember how it felt! There was this one time he bit my hand so hard, I felt like I was burned! Nate isn't such a biter but when he bites, he bites BIG TIME! haha!
Biting is actually a really common phase for toddlers and won't last too long. Since they can't communicate emotions, particularly frustration, they bite. Whenever he bites though, I'd try to make him understand that it's not acceptable. (I hope he understands, haha)
Just a few days ago, he started humming his ABCs whenever he hears it played. He also does the same when we sing it to him. The first time I heard it, aaaahhw! I was in wonderland.
When he wants us to read a book for him, he'd say: "BOHK"! It's so cute!
FOLLOWS SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS
"Give it to mama", "Go get the book", "Come here", are a few instructions he can simply follow now. Argh, these toddlers know how to make their parents smile!
There are more milestones he's achieved now but I don't want you to get bored reading all of them here. Haha. If you reached this far, thank you, I appreciate it with all my heart. :D Parenting is such a tiresome work to do, sometimes I'd like to escape for just a day but when you see them show their new learned abilities, aahhhh, everything's paid off!
