Wednesday Wreview: Sodium Ascorbate Fern-C

Vitamin C is one of the many vitamins that our body needs to protect us from sickness and illnesses. It's the vitamins that strengthen our immune system, which is why it's important that we don't neglect taking Vitamin C daily, specially working the folks like me.

Last month, I got my package of the Fern-C kidz for Nate to try out and to my surprise, they included Fern-C for me, yaaaay! I immediately tried it out the next day and set aside my cheaper Ascorbic Acid brand, lol.

About Fern-C
FERN-C is the First Non-Acidic Vitamin C in the Philippines and the only Quali-C Vitamin C made from Europe.

Recommended Dosage
For daily maintenance, take 1-2 capsules. For cold symptoms, take 3-4 capsules daily. May be given as is, or dissolved in fruit juices, water, or cold beverages of choice. FERN-C may be taken even on an empty stomach.

As for me, I've never tried taking FERN-C on an empty stomach, and I only take 1 capsule per day, except for the past week 'til Monday when I take 2 capsules daily. I'll tell you why later. :)

What I can say
On the capsule size, I find FERN-C really good because even though it's in capsules, I don't have a hard time taking it. You know there are capsules that are really big, right? Problem with me is I easily get choked with big capsules that's why I prefer pills and small size capsules like this one.

I've been taking FERN-C for about 3 weeks now, and so far I think it works good for me, no allergic reaction on the product, whatsoever.

On the efficacy, I don't have much to say aside from this "sipon story" that we have here at home. Last week, my sister has been really sick with colds and flu and few days after my mother-in-law suffered the same. I know either our youngest sister, or Nate or me will be next in line.

Nobody wants to get sick, specially when you're working. So I double dosed our vitamin C, I take 2 FERN-C's per day, 1 in the morning after brunch and 1 in the afternoon before I sleep (I work at night so I sleep around 5PM), I told my younger sister to do the same to boost our immunity ng di mahawa. I also told my sister and mother-in-law to double dose their Vitamin C usage so they get healed right away. More importantly, I also double dosed Nate's Vitamin C intake, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. I was really hoping we don't get sick. Colds, cough and flu are very common because of the rainy season and it's really a hassle to get sick.

Did we get contaminated by the colds? Thankfully, we didn't, so I'm really happy FERN-C was able to boost our immunity and on the other hand, my mother-in-law and my sister are getting so much better everyday with the help of their double dosed Vitamin C intake.

This is my FERN-C story.

What's your Vitamin C brand? Have you tried FERN-C before? I'd like to hear from you. :)

*Disclaimer: This product was sent to me at no cost. My opinions on the products I review are 100% my own. I am not held responsible if you decide to purchase the product and is dissatisfied with it. :)
