Moms like me want to make the most out of our every
purchase. We loooove, love, love to find great deals! That is given, there’s
something about being able to get an item at a discounted price, it makes us
feel proud about it, and we feel smart because we found a way to spend less
than the amount it should be. And with us moms who have so many things on the
list to purchase, deals and discounts can really help us budget-wise.
I am someone who isn’t knowledgeable when it comes
to investing, and stocks. In fact, I am one of
those who are willing to learn but just know where to start and what to learn
first. And although we are into saving and I know household budgeting, financial
industry for me is still like a jigsaw puzzle that I’m trying to connect piece
I’m glad I got the
chance to attend the first step to financial literacy! And hopefully, little by
little, I’ll be able to create that image of a solved jigsaw puzzle. Last October
22, Saturday, SmartParenting.com.ph, the credible parenting resource backed by
experts and a community of involved parents, held “Money Strategies for Smart
Moms at Café 1771 in Ortigas, and I was there! Yay!
In a world where things are becoming more and more advanced, if there’s one thing that can do so many things for us, it is… *drumroll…* the SMARTPHONE! (yeah)!
We all can agree that smartphone is our tiny assistant wherever we go. It’s that beeping alarm that wakes us up in the morning, our planner that we can easily glance to check our schedule, our help when we don’t know where we’re going, our trusted companion during emergencies, our tool in creating wonderful memories, our way of keeping our sanity when we’re inside a super heavy traffic (and the list goes on and on)! It’s really wonderful how this thing can be of a huge help for us!
Another Saturday filled with fun and excitement happened last Saturday during the VitaCubes Funday in Activ Fun, BGC! I was with my sisters and Nate, it was tiring but a fulfilling one! There's so much to be thankful for during this event, but these are the top 3 on my list!
It is with
gratitude and joy for me to post about Dane and I’s 8th year
together. Truly, God is faithful in each of our lives. We can never say that
this journey was smooth-sailing, but what I can say is, if not for God’s
goodness + our faithfulness to each other, this relationship wouldn’t last this
Eight years may
be just a speck compared to those who’ve been together for decades, but for us,
it is definitely worth remembering and thankful for. Many of us want our
relationship to work but there are also many couples who, unfortunately, didn’t
make it together and mutually decided to split. For whatever reason, we also
think that “maybe” that person isn’t "the one" for you.
I first met him
in a local fellowship in their church (the same church where we go now) during
a fellowship and I’ll lie if I say I didn’t have a crush on him! LOL!
Korni/cheesy, whatever! Haha. But he was in a commitment with someone else that
Last Saturday after the MBP Mad Hatter Party, we got to experience the wonders of The Mind Museum for the very first time! And by the smiles of the kids' faces (and even us, the parents), you can clearly tell that everyone had a great time!
Nate and I *insert my youngest sister, Ashiel*, were part of the recently concluded MBP (Mommy Bloggers Philippines) Mad Hatter Party 2016 held at the Mind Museum. It was such a perfect day; the place was filled with happy kids, smiling moms and dads, wonderful balloon decors, and friendly sponsors. Everyone seems happy and feeling blessed!
This was the 2nd MBP event that Nate and I
attended, last year, we were also able to join the party in Skyranch,
Tagaytay. However, even though this was the 2nd MBP we’ve
attended, I still had so many missed opportunities during this event. Here are
the 3 things that I didn’t like about the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Mad Hatter
Nowadays, more and more moms choose to shop online more
often than go to a physical store. I myself can’t blame them for doing that. Moms
have many reasons why they choose to shop online. And although we still buy our
groceries at the store, there are many other stuff that we’d rather just buy
Isn’t it great to be able to have friends who support and
help you out? Of course, who wouldn’t love that, right? Thanks to our ever
supportive friend Mhaan of Mommy Rockin’ in Style, I was able to buy some make
up stuff in an actual store. Here’s my story: I don’t like going to beauty
department in the malls before because I didn’t know what to order, what to
tell the staff, what I want and all! Haha!
I think I'm having a new series on this blog and it's called HAUL! lol. Last week, I posted about my BeautyMNL beauty haul, then this... Plus, there's another one on my draft that's awaiting to publish about my first in-store make up haul! I'm telling you I'm starting to love posting hauls! lol.
Last Friday was a joyous day for us. With Nate getting better with cough and colds, we went early to SM San Mateo to be with other customers and experience the 1st day of their 3-day sale! What I saw was exactly not what I was expecting!
Nate has only 4 apps that he used whenever he
wanted to before: Bible for Kids, Alphabets, Fruit Ninja and Word Play. He
doesn’t use those very often since I want him to be more engaged with physical activities;
secondly, I really want a very less screen time for him.
About 2 weeks ago, I got invited to try out another app for little
kids which is called KidloLand. KidloLand is an app designed for kids under 5 years old. Kids can learn ABCs, animals, fruits, vegetables, shapes and more with the help of 700+ interactive nursery rhymes, songs, stories and educational activities. It's got so many good stuff available for our little ones!
I knowww! Where did time go? I cannot believe we're few months left 'til 2017. Many of us are already doing their early holiday shopping. I haven't yet! And many malls are now offering grand sales so we don't have to cram during the holidays.
One of the many firsts that I experienced in relation to
blogging is being able to try restaurants for the first time. One of these
restaurants is RamenCool, located in West Avenue, QC. What’s more good about it
I am not kikay. And I don't think I'll ever will. We grew up in a small and simple baranggay.
That means I was never exposed to beauty products and make up. I got used to it
and got used to going out without anything on my face. That was the life that I
have before until recently. Yes, just recently! That I decided I needed to
learn the basic make up!
Before I decided to start learning to use make up on my
face, I had a few reasons why I chose
I my last blog post, I talked about the possibility of not being able to manage my post schedules anymore due to a few things that needed
to be handled and managed well. My passion in writing stays the same and I promise
myself that I will continue to update my blog, time permitting. I’m happy I
have that time now. I decided to go home early, with Nate and my mother-in-law,
to be able to write a post on my blog. Thankfully, Nate also got so tired and
decided to sleep on our way back home. So here I am, typing and maximizing the
time that I have while my son is sleeping. :)
For weeks now, I've been contemplating about whether I can
still commit to my post schedule. After so many considerations, I have decided that I can no longer commit to it anymore. I am therefore not doing some of them and hopefully be able to manage other things. This isn't easy for me to let go but
