Last week, it was with a happy heart for me to tell our family that Dane was again promoted, and this time, as an assistant manager to another branch.
Dane has mixed emotions. He was feeling excited, worried and sad at the same time. Excited for the new position, worried for the responsibility it brings and sad because he had to move to a new place and be with new people he’s never worked before.
This is a challenge but of course, is more of a blessing for us. Although I know he can do it, but it is still God who eventually placed everything together in his own special time. This phase in our lives remind us of the verse in Psalm 75:6-7 which says:
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.King James Version (KJV)
The bible is true, promotion comes from the Lord alone. I can say that my husband is great and is performing well at work everyday, but it is God who renews his strength daily. I can say that my husband is wise in his decision making, but it is God who placed him at the right place with the right people to be equipped at work. His promotion is from God. And for that, we are extremely grateful.
No matter how difficult it can get, I know God will be with him and will never leave him ‘til his last day of work contract (which by the way is only 11 months from now – that another thing to look forward to!).
May God be glorified!
Have a blessed Sunday!
