4 Foods That Cause Weight Gain

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I am currently doing workouts to lose my belly fats. It isn’t easy and it’s frustrating sometimes. Patience is very important (and I need TONS of that) to keep going.

I lessened my rice intake to almost like 75%, I eat A LOT before I started my home workout. Now, I can say that I am on my way to a flatter tummy (and hopefully and abs, lol!) but I’m still a work in progress. I try to choose healthy foods instead but there are also times that I can’t keep that goal.
We often think that eating healthy food is enough—therefore we expect a tremendous result for our weight loss. However, there are healthy foods that when eaten in huge amounts will only cause weight gain.

Here’s the top 4 list of foods to eat in moderation when you are on a “journey to a flatter tummy” program.

1. Diet soda – Artificial sweeteners cause slow metabolism. Therefore, it keeps us from losing the weight we want and instead, even causes weight gain when taken heavily. As much as possible I keep myself away from sodas, but there are still times that I drink them, specially when in fastfood restaurants.

2. Low Fat Foods – Aside from moderately eating fat is healthy, low fat foods tend to keep us from eating more, which in turn makes us gain weight than losing it. Small portions of the real thing are healthy and helpful in weight loss rather than staying with a low-fat food.

I personally don’t observe eating low fat foods, I just eat in moderation. And yes, less rice, really.

3. Granola – Oats, seeds and nuts are healthy but when it is eaten with loads of sugar and honey, it makes you gain more than lose weight. Ugh, why is sugar so sweet but so…er…harmful? Lol.

4. Fries and potato chips – People that frequently eat french fries can gain almost a year and a half each year.  Making them at home only makes them a little bit “better”. According to a Harvard study, potato chips are the food most strongly associated with weight gain over four years.

Knowing what makes us gain weight is helpful to (of course) avoid and reduce intake of these. Also, the intake of natural cleansers and detox can help in losing that extra weight. Let me say something about this – I tried Lemon detox drink, it tastes good at first but the longer it stayed, the more it tastes awful! I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, so if you have any best advice for me to be able to actually “drink” those detox drinks, please, please let me know! Haha.

ATC Health Care, one of the partners during the Blogapalooza Horizons 2.0 has recently launched FatOut and knowing about this product makes me contemplate on whether I should use it along with my daily at home workouts to see fast results.  FatOut is the newest slimming supplement that helps lose weight without dangerous consequences. My fear about slimming products is that they might cause side effects just like other products that I heard of but I think I might give FatOut a try.

According to ATC Health Care, FatOut’s strength is its ability to REALLY help cleanse and detoxify the body by getting rid of the wastes as it is easily taken out of our system. The body flushes away the bad fat and toxins that make us gain weight, in the most convenient way possible!

FatOut has Pu’er Tea extract which eliminates fats that are hard to digest, Aloe Vera Powder that detoxifies and cleanses the colon, Alfalfa that nourishes the digestive system, Oat Fiber that controls the appetite. Moreover, The Green Tea Extract is best known to effectively burn and shred fats by speeding up the metabolism and Psyllium Husk that sweeps away the toxins and cholesterol.

I have a few FatOuts here in my loot that I’m going to start using next week along with my workouts, and hopefully, I’ll be able to see faster results with FatOut, I will let you know! :)

Note that, FatOut is not a medicinal drug and should not be used to treat the symptoms of any disease. FatOut should be taken daily, before every meal, preferably with a warm glass of water.

Available at all Mercury Drug and other leading drugstores and supermarkets nationwide. For those interested, looks like they currently offer a promotion! FatOut is available at a special promo BUY ONE TAKE ONE for a LIMITED TIME OFFER only, so check them out at your nearest drugstore!

  3. I could benefit from losing a little weight. However, I'm not too keen on using slimming supplements. Mainly I just watch what I eat and yeah, I'm super guilty about eating fries and potato chips. Haha!

  5. Ang sexy mo na kaya Mommy Nilyn! Tama na yan! Haha joke lang. Nakaka-guilty naman yung Granola and Fries and potato chips. But anyway, medyo may excuse naman ako now kasi buntis. Haha! Before I got pregnant, I used to drink laxative teas lalo kung feeling ko nag-indulge ako way too much on fatty foods and sweets. It gives me the feeling that my digestive system's being cleansed and my tummy's more flat after. Pero syempre I drink it once or twice a week lang. Never heard of FatOut, ngayon lang. I'll introduce this to my husband who's really keen to get back up from his dad-bod that he has right now. Haha!
