Fri-yay + Nate's 2nd Special Number

Thank God it's Friday! ♥ This week seems so long for me. Mother-in-law and I decided we'd sell snacks in the afternoon so, in the morning, I would go to the market to buy what we need. This is just a little experiment that we did - trial and error, of course, which Dane fully supported.

This little 'business' if we can call it that took was so challenging. We would cook banana cue, palamig or ginataang bilo-bilo. As of yet, we only have about 300-peso profit. Compared sa pagod, tingin ko lugi, lol! Pero it's ok, it's an experience for us at ang importante, nabalik ang capital. Maganda na rin may mapagkaabalahan kami. Today, I decided not to sell muna because first, Aunt Flo came to visit, lol! Second, I just wanted to rest for now. Then maybe, tomorrow, we'll try to sell a few snacks again since it's Saturday and a lot of people are going to the basketball court.

We also started selling ice and are planning to sell ice candy. You know, nothing to lose. Pakonti-konti habang naka-on naman din ang refrigerator, might as well maximize it, 'di ba? Konting puhunan = konting returns. Low risk = low profit. Practice lang and who knows, maybe next time, God will let us manage a bigger business, hopefully!

So, I was browsing my Facebook albums and I saw the video I uploaded about Nate's second special number in our church. I want to share it here too. During our practice, I told him to sing it for the Lord, especially since the song is about offering our lives to God. I think he did a really good job here. PS: Sorry about the screaming tots. :)

Lord, I offer my life

Lord, I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through, use it for Your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You as a pleasing sacrifice
Lord, I offer You my life

All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before You, oh Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaims
The joy and the pain, I'm making them Yours

Lord, I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through, use it for Your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You as a pleasing sacrifice
Lord, I offer You my life

Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hope, all of my plans
My heart and my hands are lifted to You

Lord, I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through, use it for Your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You as a pleasing sacrifice
Lord, I offer You my life

  4. This is one of my favorite song when I was still young, kanta pa yata namin ito nung graduation day nung grade 6. Good luck on your business, baka sa umpisa lang yung pagod pag nasanay na, okay na. Marami yumayaman sa small business. :)

  6. Both of you are so blessed and talented! I can only imagine the gratefulness you have inside your heart. Everything that we do, no matter how small, should be offered to God.

I'm glad you enjoyed the selling experience.

I am enjoying it so far pero we stopped the banana cue, masyadong time consuming. OK na ung ice candy, di mahirap bantayan. hehe.

  7. Uy, you should try ice candy. haha When I was on vacation, I tried selling ice candy because there was extra space in the fridge. My mom-in-law sold ice. It was a hit. I tried buko pandan ice candy. 5 pesos provincial rate? haha I heard in Manila it's 10 pesos. =) Dami kita. =) I would do the ice candy during weekends and that's for the whole week if possible. So one time preparation. or twice a week because it's done by the mid of the week. =)
Lord, I Offer is my life's theme song. haha

  8. Ang galing naman! This is one of my fave Church song, growing up in a Catholic Church halos kabisado ko rin lahat hehe.

As for the business, ayos naman kasi mag-umpisa sa maliit. Who knows, someday you'll be one of the successful mompreneurs.
