YOU! Yes, YOU!

All people have a mental picture of themselves, their strengths and weaknesses. This mental picture is called self-concept or self-image. It is formed through learned experiences beginning at birth. Self-esteem is the value judgement or degree of worth a person attributes to his or her self-image. Considered an important component of emotional health, self-esteem encompasses both self-confidence and self-acceptance.

Many young people have low self esteem. But why does it happen? Several factors listed below affect contributing to low self-esteem:

            1. Family upbringing
      2. Environmental influence
      3. Educational experience
      4. Exposure and many more.

It's sad that there are a lot of people who never realized how great their abilities are because of how low they think about of themselves. They aren’t able to enjoy their gifts and abilities because of this attitude that’s holding them back.

The bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are crafted by the world’s greatest artist! He made us unique in our own special and magnificent way! Isn’t that amazing? The God, who has all the power in heaven and earth, gave us the ability to shine-be His tool, work for His glory and never be ashamed of what we have.

So what should we do? We’ve got to step out-let go of what we’re used to do. Step out of our comfort zones, do something marvellous for Him! We shouldn’t be afraid; He gives us everything we need to SHINE!

We are God’s people and we should not be ashamed of what we know and what we possess. We shouldn't underestimate what we are capable of doing. We just have to discover it-ask wisdom from Him so we’d know what He wants us to do and day by day, unwrap your gifts from God! :)
