Wow! I’m getting older and older! I don’t even want to think about it anymore! Haha! I’d like to say that the past year was by far the most challenging year that I ever had. There were so many ups and downs that made my 25th year of existence a happy and fulfilled one. All of these I consider a blessing and made me who I am today. The past year was the most crucial moment of my life as I saw my belly and my body grow each day. Nate was the greatest highlight of my life last year.

What is Christmas?

Christmas. It’s the time of the year when we spend our time with our family and friends and celebrate the spirit of giving. It’s the time of the year when we think of gifts to give our love ones and godchildren. It’s the time of the year when people think of anything they want to do to have fun with their family. This is when kids get so excited and can’t almost wait to open their gifts. This is when our schedules are full because of group parties and celebrations. This is when malls and shopping centers are always filled with people. This is when sales are whooping in all stores.

Christmas is told to be the time for people to reconcile, forgive and forget. It’s the busiest time to wrap gifts, to shop and spend more money for others. The saddest thing about Christmas is forgetting the real meaning and reason for celebrating it. Sometimes, we get too pre-occupied preparing gifts and food, planning our schedules for Christmas parties, decorating our homes and budgeting our finances to make sure we cover the expenses for everything we plan to purchase. Have we lost the real reason why we celebrate each year?

More than 2000 years ago, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, took the form of a servant and lived a simple and selfless life in order to save us. He died for our sins for us to live with Him eternally in heaven as long as we accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice is the main reason for Christmas.

May this be our reason to celebrate. Happy holidays!

Product Review: Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream

Product Description (What it does):

Himalaya’s Nourishing Skin Cream is a light, nongreasy, daily-use cream, which provides all day moisturizing, nourishment and protection.
The cream is blended with the extracts of Aloe Vera, Winter Cherry, Indian Kino Tree and Indian Pennywort, which protect your skin from pollution and dry weather, providing nourishment and moisture.
Key ingredients:
Aloe Vera, known for its many healing properties, is rich in enzymes, polysaccharides and nutrients which exhibit antibacterial and antifungal action. A natural UV inhibitor, its hydrating, softening and intense moisturizing properties nourish the skin.
Winter Cherry is an effective anti-stress agent. In skin care, this plant is used for its antioxidant action, which helps skin cell regeneration.
Indian Kino Tree has astringent properties which work as a skin tonic to tone and rejuvenate facial skin.
Indian Pennywort is regarded as the best home remedy for skin disorders such as chronic ulcers and persistent eczema.

I received 2 10ml sachets of the product to try. What I like about it is it smells really good, actually, all Himalaya Herbals products that I got smell really, really good. The face cream to me is just like the ordinary facial creams over-the-counter. What’s good about it is you only need a pea-size amount to use because the cream isn’t think, it’s almost watery. As instructed, I use it twice a day and after every use, my face is moisturized. I don’t put powder after I use it. After probably about 2-4 hrs, I can feel my face either glowing or becoming oily! Lol! I can’t almost tell but I think it’s more oily than glowing. I didn’t really see any great change in my face for using this product and I don’t think of buying it either. To me, it’s like the product I previously used. My face is still getting whiteheads from time to time but most of them are cleaned right after I use the Need Face Pack.

Product Review: Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Mask

A purifying mask that helps to regulate excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents the recurrence of pimples. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence. Combines with Turmeric, it helps remove acne-causing bacteria. Fuller's Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin, improving skin texture and leaving you with clear, problem-free skin.
Key Ingredients:
Fuller's Earth, Neem, Turmeric.

I have been using the mask for more than two weeks and and I like to say that this is quite a good product. It definitely looks like mud but when you use it with your eyes closed, you will never know! The scent is totally great. I used the mask twice a week and let it stay on my face for 10-15 minutes, as instructed before rinsing.

One of the results that I notice is my pores are tightened and my face feels smoother right after I rinse. Although it doesn't remove all of it, some of my whiteheads were gone. I like to feel my face every time I finish using the mask. However, I have this little whitehead in my cheeks that I hope to be removed by using the mask, which at this time is still very visible.

In a rate of 1-10 with 10 as the highest, I will give this product a 7.5. I’m actually thinking of getting this product at the grocery store. I hope it’s not difficult to find. I know this product is not widely distributed nationwide yet. I’ll definitely buy one when I see one.

74 Months Together

Back when we were still both thin. :)
October 17th 2008 was when we became official BF/GF and I can’t believe we’ve come this far. 4 years after that, we married and got pregnant after 9 months of being married. Times flies! We’ve had so many ups and downs, so many fights and arguments, so many differences but I’m glad we are still together.

Dane, cheers to more happiness, sadness, tears and quarrels together. J
Happy 74th!

The Perks of Working at Home

Nowadays, more and more people are relying on the internet for almost anything. Some use the internet for entertainment, news, update, socialization, communication and even business. Many have become aware of how to make money out of working online. What benefits do one usually get for working at home using the internet?

I’ve worked as an online customer service since February 2012. And up to now, I’m still working in the same company. This is the longest company I worked with so far since I started working in 2009. As a WAHM myself, I have several reasons why I chose to work at home.

A Wedding to Remember

Dear Dane,

I can still remember how my voice trembled and how I paused and cried while saying my vow. I can still remember how you cried after we were pronounced ‘husband and wife’. I can still remember how that simple wedding turned out to the one of the greatest memories of my life. I can still remember almost everything on our wedding day!

Friday Night Out in Makiling Highlands Resort

Source: MetroDeal Ad
About a month and a half ago, a good friend and church mate invited us to take the promo offered in MetroDeal for a cheaper entrace fee to Makiling Highlands Resort. We availed of it. I've never been to the said resort so I myself was kind of excited about it. Not only that we'll surely have fun but just the thought of being able to of being able to take a break from work, the daily routine and the life in the city, even for just a short while puts a smile on my face. And it's not only better that we're able to schedule it in a Friday, but also, the very same day Nate turned 7 months.

Nate just turned 7 months! It seems like it was just yesterday that we were on a cab going to the hospital. Now he's turned into a heavy guy, so cute in his curls! I like how sweet he is to us but so funny how he screams also when he's uncomfortable. Lol!

At this time, I noticed that he's getting more and more mobile everyday. He now obviously starts to show frustration when he couldn't do what he wanted to do. Of course, the seemingly unending eating everything he grasps.

Physically, can roll over as fast as he can, in any sides and directions. He can sit on a high chair and a grocery cart without support but of course, we'd still have to keep an eye on him.

We now call him "mama's boy" as he starts to cry when he sees me go somewhere without him. He is so sweet to me and just the thought of it puts a smile on my face! ahh, I can't believe that being a mother gives you so much happiness and tiredness at the same time.

His teeth still didn't show and we are patiently waiting for his first tooth to come out. His main source of nutrition is still my milk plus his secondary foods and vitamins prescribed by his pediatrician.

So far, it has been a craaazy roller coaster ride with my boys but everything is worth it!

People often ask me, "What's the difference between couplehood and babyhood?" In a word? Moisture. Everything in my life is now more moist. Between your spittle, your diapers, your spit-up and drool, you got your baby food, your wipes, your formula, your leaky bottles, sweaty baby backs, and numerous other untraceable source--all creating an every present moistness in my life, which heretofore was mainly dry. Paul Reiser

Himalaya Herbals Whitening Face Wash Review

Himalaya Herbals Facial Wash Sample

Himalaya Herbals are the first set of beauty products I received as a sample to try. I have used them together for a week now. Description online for this product says:
"Himalaya Herbals Whitening Face Wash is a soap-free, daily use face wash that cleanses and clarifies your skin of impurities, giving you a clear, radiant and even complexion. Saffron, well-known for its complexion enhancing properties helps clear skin of spots and blemishes while Licorice and White Dammer help regulate melanin synthesis restoring your skin's natural fairness. Pomegranate nourishes while Cucumber soothes your skin. Use morning and evening for visibly brighter, clearer and glowing skin."

What I got is a  15 ml facial wash can last up to 2 weeks of use. I use it every time I wash my face and what's good about it is you only need a pea-size of it to use to wash my face. What I like about this product is that it smells really good. And since it's soap free, I can feel it working on my face. After I rinse it, it doesn't feel dry like other soaps do. My husband said he thinks the product makes my face smooth. :)

I don't think this product is readily available in the market right now, honestly, I never heard of it before I got the sample. But after using this I'm actually thinking of using it for good. I'd like to think that the facial wash and the cream combined has a great effect on my face.

The Knot: Our Wedding Website

While I was browsing the internet today, I thought it'd be cool to search my name in google. It's funny how the search results can lead you back to memories of yesterday.

As I scroll through the results, I found our old wedding website I made before we got married. And this is what it showed me:

How to Handle Negative Thoughts

As a new mum, everything about motherhood is a plain trial and error for me. It wasn't very easy at all, and all I can say is that it requires tough work. Nevertheless, I also have to admit that motherhood is the most amazing, most rewarding job in the world! However, the saying is true: "You won't understand your parents' sacrifices until you experience it yourself". Every time I feel so tired of taking care of Nate, I remember what my mother felt when I was still young. So I make sure I thank her for all her sacrifices when I get a chance to talk to her over the phone.
