Sample Room Products have arrived! :)

I am a sample room customer for quite a long time now. What I like about Sample Room is that you get to try the products by using your points and just paying shipping and handling fee.

Currently, I only have 120 points in Sample Room so I am tied to finding products that is worth or equal to 120 points. I have been planning to become a VIP member but I still have yet to purchase the VIP membership with them! lol!

I got 3 products in the mail on Friday, of which I ordered Monday last week and I'm trying them out now.

Kudos to sample room, their packaging is a lot better the the previous orders that I had

How to Reschedule for a Sooner Date with DFA (Online application)

**WARNING: This advise takes a LOT of PATIENCE. And when I say a LOT, I mean TONS and TONS of it. lol! So only follow this if you are so desperate in getting a sooner appointment date.**

My brother-in-law recently passed the interview for an overseas job in KSA, he was referred by Dane, which means, God-willing, he will be with Dane soon in Saudi - which is a good thing, right? I'm happy at least Dane will have a family there while working away from us.

We have one problem though, he doesn't have a passport yet, that's number one. And number two, his appointment will not be until July 26th! Waaa! That's too far! Baka mapalitan sya ng ibang may passport na. So we were in complete dilemma, we din't know what to do. Sayang naman din, anjan na opportunity e. So I somehow blamed myself for not helping him get a passport before.

Wednesday Wreview: Photobook Philippines Website

With the digital world now, most of us (including me) have to admit that we don't print photos as often as before anymore, since we can view it from time to time on our gadgets anyway. However, to have these photos printed is still a lot different compared to seeing them on screen, you know what I mean?

For the longest time, I had wanted to print photos of Nate's birth and 1st year of life but look now, 2 years old na sya and still no hard copy! lol. But, thankfully (and finally!), I was able to get discounts coupons from Metro Deal for Photobook Philippines.

I heard about Photobook Philippines since last year, and quite honestly, I already have a few drafts on their website for a soft cover photo album (the cheapest they have, lol). But, I didn't keep a budget for it until recently. You know, money matters, lol! I had many things to prioritize before this. But now, I'm so happy I finally got it!

3 Reasons why Cousins are Great

We all have cousins here and we have so many stories about our cousins, don't we? Just today, I'm so happy one of our first cousins initiated a group chat of Facebook so we could all chat again and ask how everyone is doing.

Our clan is too many we can occupy a baranggay, lol! With our grandparents having 11 children, we've now grown to 30+ grand children and 80+ great grand children (Nate is one of them). That's one chaotic, awesome and noisy family, I know! haha!

Say "hi" to my cousins from the mother side! This is incomplete. Credits to my cousin for making this collage
Out of 30+ first cousins (mother side), I have to say, wala akong kaedad! haha! I remember, when I was young, I'd try to fit it in with my older cousins and I would be the smallest and the first person na mauutusan! haha. If I try to go with those younger than me, I would look like a chaperone! Nevertheless, I think that my cousins are amazing and there are many reasons to treasure our memories together!

Here are a few reasons why I think that cousins are great:

Sundayvotion: Encouraging One Another

One of the main purposes of why believers are to go to church and fellowship with other Christian believers is to be able to encourage and help each other up (this is aside from learning God's word).

Remember the very popular quote: "no man is an island"? That is very true as well when it comes to our christian lives. We need someone who can encourage us when we are spiritually down and we need people to back us up in prayers when we need them the most.

Has anyone ever told you, "I prayed for you"? How does it feel? I personally feel so relieve every time my mother tells me this. You feel confident that whatever happens, somebody cares and prays for you and that is one of the most wonderful things you can hear from someone (aside from "I love you").

No matter what your situation is right now, it is always good to be able to find someone or a group that you know can help you and pray for you when you are down and discouraged. After all, that's what friends are for as well. :)))

Blessed Sunday, everyone!

Nate's Guitar-Themed Birthday

Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do! It's more about music this year! I decided to use guitar as Nate's theme for his 2nd birthday to completely switch it from a sporty, football theme last year.

Why guitar? Because guitar is something that I love, Dane loves, and it seems that Nate is loving too. We bought him a little guitar and he's using it from time to time. He also loves the guitar tuner app that I have on my phone. So I guess a guitar theme would be perfect for his 2nd birthday celebration.

Nate's 2nd Birthday Celebration ♥

Nate celebrated his 2nd birthday on May 5th. Every time we'd ask him "when's your birthday?" he would answer, May five! haha. So cute! Time flies so fast, really! Wow, Acabelieveit!

Now, since I'm kuripot and I have bills to pay for now, I can't afford to go on leave, even for just a day. So instead of celebrating his birthday on a Thursday, I decided to celebrate it on a Saturday so I won't need to go leave at all and prepare for the simple celebration for the entire week.

Sundayvotion: Soft Words

Today, I am reminded of this verse from the bible. As a woman, I am one of the many who tend to talk too much. There are just so many things in a woman's mind that we want to say, specially when we're angry.

Nate's 2nd Birthday Photoshoot (and the Person behind the lovely photos)

Nate's 2nd birthday photo shoot was tiresome and difficult but I'm happy we have amazing photos we could keep forever. Nate was only cooperative during the first 5 minutes of the photo shoot, the rest of the time, he was fussy! lol. But thank goodness the photographer is great at taking wonderful photos. I'm gonna tell you about her (please keep reading), but for now, I'm gonna post all the wonderful photos we have during his photo shoot. I'm sorry I can't choose which one to highlight, so, I'm posting all of them here! lol.

Please understand, I'm just a mother who can't stop admiring her child, haha!

My ‪Eleksyon2016‬ Story

I have posted this on my personal Facebook wall as well. This is my first participation for the election and alas, it didn't turn out well.

This happened in Commonwealth Elementary School (I was able to take a few photos and a video of this but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post them).

Around 3:15 pm nakarating ako sa precinct ko, hoping na mas maigsi na ang pila kasi hapon na. Sure enough, konti nalang yung tao. Masaya ako kasi alam ko makakauwi ako ng maaga.

Pilipinas Eleksyon 2016

Today is the end of all the election campaigns, the end of social media fights against their presidential bets, the end all meeting de avance (and sadly all vote-buying to some).

Today, we're going to do something that will affect the next 6 years of our lives here in the Philippines. We are going to vote not only for ourselves but for our children who cannot vote and will have to depend on who adults like us will vote for the office as a majority.

I know there will be cheating today and I was thinking what use is it to vote when I know they're manipulating the computers anyway? But then, I know deep inside that I should do this.

If you haven't already, click here to check your precinct online

Sundayvotion: 4 Wonderful Mothers in the Bible

Happy mother's day to all moms like me! Since the day I became a mom, mother's day has become more special to me since I now know even more how challenging it is to become a mom! So make sure to greet your moms a very happy mother's day today!

Since it's mother's day, it'd be wonderful to go back to the bible and look and 4 of the many wonderful mothers during the bible times and why they great examples to moms like us.

Thursday, May 5, 2016

Nate is 2 years old! Where has time gone? Yesterday, he was one little curly-haired baby I held in my arms for the very first time, now he's a little guy who loves going outside and playing.

This is one of the perks of being a mom, all child's  milestones and experiences feels like an achievement for us as parents. I don't even know what to say anymore, Nate has turned into a wonderful little creature and I am so thankful for having him in my life.

Dear Nate,
Happy 2nd birthday love. I pray that God will give me wisdom to raise you while your papa is temporarily away. You're such a sweet and talkative guy, and it's really cute when you start defending your petty arguments! Keep making the people around you smile. Please don't grow up so fast!

Parenting is becoming more and more challenging each day as you're starting learn to insist on the things that you want (and not want) and throw tantrums. I pray that God will give me the wisdom to be firm on saying "no" to the things that aren't good for you or that are too much. It's not easy to balance love and discipline but with God's help, nothing is impossible. I hope when you grow up, son, you can read this message and know that you are love. If you read this while you're lonely (hehe), please don't forget we love you always and if that isn't enough, God is up above watching you with an unfathomable love.

Paying your MERALCO Bill via BPI Express Online

As a church treasurer, I am the one in-charge in paying our church bills. And you know how paying bills can be very challenging sometimes, specially if the due dates are different. We usually pay our bills via Bayad Center, you know why, hehe. It gives you the convenience to pay everything at once. But sometimes, our church bill isn't received until we're done paying our personal bills. So, if that happens, I try to pay them online to save time.

This whole Trillanes VS Duterte and the BPI is making me think of my account security but as of yet, I haven't discussed with Dane if we'd go to a different bank, I don't think so, though, you know all the hassle of applying for a bank account! lol! Then I remember, I used to pay my bills online via my BPI express online account so I tried doing that today. Sharing the step by step process in case anyone might be interested in utilizing their BPI online accounts to pay their bills.

BPI express online bills payment isn't limited to MERALCO, they have lots of companies you can pay your dues too. If you already have a BPI online account, you can check for the list of all the companies you can pay using BPI express online.

For now, here's how to enroll & pay your bills using your BPI express online account:

It's Labor Day!!! ♥

It's funny how yesterday was May 1st and was labor day but it's a Sunday! haha. I'm not sure if our "soon-to-be-former-president" Aquino moved the holiday today but I don't think so. If it was Gloria's time, I'm pretty sure it's been rescheduled to today. Nonetheless,

You and I who work hard everyday contributes to the strength, prosperity and well being of our country, so yeah, CONGRATULATIONS! I know there are so many reasons why we labor and work hard, we can all agree that's one of the reasons is our family, so we can help them. Some of us work hard for our children's tuition, some work to help their parents pay the bills/debts, some work to be able to save, some work to be able to travel, some work to exercise their profession. We can say that we work for money but of course, we need money because of the many reasons we have.

So to you who work hard for their family, for you who work for your future, for you who work to help others, keep on doing your best! Cheers to all of us!

Sundayvotion: Patience while Waiting

Next month comes the Ramadan in KSA. A few days ago, Dane called me to let me know their company has given their employees the chance to go back home to the Philippines for the whole Ramadan (that's about 21 days I believe) to be with their family and I guess to cut less on their employees' double pay.

The trick though is for their employees to pay half of their fare. I think it's at around 5,000 pesos. Well, that's not bad, right? So Dane went and asked his manager to back him up so he could request to avail of it. I was so excited for that to happen, I was excited because now there's just too many milestones Nate can show him that he hasn't seen personally because he was away. I wondered how Nate would react to see his papa personally again (and all that stuff!).
