For the longest time, I had wanted to print photos of Nate's birth and 1st year of life but look now, 2 years old na sya and still no hard copy! lol. But, thankfully (and finally!), I was able to get discounts coupons from Metro Deal for Photobook Philippines.
I heard about Photobook Philippines since last year, and quite honestly, I already have a few drafts on their website for a soft cover photo album (the cheapest they have, lol). But, I didn't keep a budget for it until recently. You know, money matters, lol! I had many things to prioritize before this. But now, I'm so happy I finally got it!
So, out of curiosity, I checked to see if photobook has any promo in Metro Deal, and I'm so glad I did! Here's what I found:
6-in. x 6-in. Mini Square Softcover Photobook,
40 Pages from Photobook Philippines for
40 Pages from Photobook Philippines for
P20 instead of P1200
When I saw that it was just for 20 pesos, I didn't waste time (tamang tama may laman pa debit card ko - I don't own a credit card so I can only use my card when it has money in it), I ordered 7! haha. And paid for a total of 140 pesos, that's for 7 soft cover photobooks already! But here's the trick, the coupon entitles you for a 1,200 pesos off in Photobook but excluding shipping and handling, which by the way, costs Php 250 per shipment, at isa lang kada shipment, I believe. So here's the breakdown of what I actually paid for a 40-pages 6x6 inches mini-square softcover photobook:
Coupon price (Metro Deal) - Php 20
Shipping & handling fee - Php 250
TOTAL - Php 270.00

These came in 2 sizes: the bigger I got the bigger one for 650 pesos after the discount (I chose the wrong size, lol), And the smaller one, was the one I got for free + 250 s&h fee |
Here's what I like about Photobook Philippines:
1. Too many options to choose from - literally! You can order a photo book (hardcover & soft cover), frames, refrigerator magnets, pillows, mugs and a whole lot more! You can get them customized for you, it's amazing!
2. User-friendly website - when choosing to order a photo book, no matter what size it is, you can choose to either have your own layout, or choose a blank layout, or choose among the many layouts they have available online.
3. Discounts, discounts and more discounts - check their website, and you will see they have so many discounts available for their customers. Or check Metro Deal, they also have existing promos for Photobook. If I just have more money, I would've printed more and ordered more already, but of course, I have to make sure everything is in budget so I'm taking this little by little. lol.
The only problem I see with Photobook Philippines is that they print and ship straight from Malaysia via DHL, which is why it costs more to ship it to their customers here in PH. I wish they'd open an office here in the Philippines soon so they can get more customers with a chopped off price in shipping and handling.

I've ordered photobooks from Photobook Philippines a number of times na and I'm always satisfied! Yun nga lang, mahal na nga ang shipping, di pa pwedeng i-combine :( (How much ang shipping to KSA?)
ReplyDeleteMahal Maan, thousands sa LBC kahit sobrang gaan ng padala. That's why pag natuloy kapatid nya dun, saka lang ako makakapagpadala.
DeleteHappy photobook user here too. :) I've been meaning to post about it but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Hehe. I also bought the p20 coupon but was not able to use it kasi inabutan ng expiration. And then lately I found out that you can extend pala. Oh well, so I bought new vouchers and was able to use them on time. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great na pwede pa pala ma extend! Appear tayo, di ko din sinayang yung 20p coupon! lol. I really love them already.
DeleteButi masipag ka gumawa ng books. :) Ako usually pag mag-eexpire na chaka magcracram. Hahaha
DeleteHaha. Ayos lang yan :). Kasi nanghihinayang ako sa coupon, kaya hinanapan ko ng oras para matapos. lol.
DeletePhotobooks are jewels! Kung dati photo albums na madali masira. Ngayon photobooks na of much much better quality. Been planning to buy one for the longest time. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Photobooks are the new trend and they're really lovely! ♥
DeleteUs moms have lots of photos of our kids we love to see in print. That's how much we adore our children. This photobook promo is a steal!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right Mommy! And thanks, it sure is a steal!
DeleteI am eyeing photobook for the longest time and yet I haven't make my first purchase yet. I would be very happy to have my twins pictures printed on a photobook!
ReplyDeleteYou would love it, I bet! :)
DeleteI've learned my lesson, the hard copy is still best to have other than the digital copy which can eventually be deleted or corrupted. I've seen some of my friends purchased photobooks too (the bigger one) of their travels and it looks awesome like a magazine of your travels.
ReplyDeleteI've seen samples of travel photobooks too, they're all adorbs!
Deletebecause i love scrapbooking and designing my planner, i print photos but not all the time. photobook's way of providing a hard copy of photos.

Yes, they offer great products, although quite expensive for me though, good thing I got a coupon, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to afford it.
DeleteI would also love to have photobooks especially those including my kids pictures. However I see this as too expensive, maybe because of the shipping free. But I think I would consider this as gifts for special occassions. For now, I try to busy myself with scrap booking. Thanks to digital photography, I can print pictures as many as I like unlike before that everything has to be printed from a camera film.
ReplyDeleteIt really is expensive, if you get the actual price. Lucky me, I only paid for s&h and it's already for a 40 pages photobook. :)
DeleteSomething nice to try. On special occasions lang ako maka print ng ganito. will check them out. Thanks for the info and review.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Yes, you might like this one. :)
DeleteI also availed this promo from Metrodeal. However, i'm not able to find time organizing family photos.. until it expired. frown emoticon Next time i'll make sure to put time into this. I really want to have those photobooks.
ReplyDeleteAwww. :( They're really great. I was too busy as well but luckily, I was able to find time to organize mine. :)
DeleteOh I'll check this one. This is the first time I heard about them. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Mommy Levy! :)
DeleteOh I love photo books!! :) Great way to save memories!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true! They're for keeps! :)
DeleteI love these photobooks. They are great investments, especially if you have kids who enjoys browsing through them from time to time. It has been awhile since I had one printed and I am planning to do so very soon. I hope they still have promos on Metrodeal when I am ready to order! :)
ReplyDeleteThey still do, you may wanna check! :)
DeleteMy eldest had photobooks but I haven't gotten around to have one for my second daughter.
ReplyDeleteYour Periwinkle will love your photobooks! :)
DeleteGreat deal you got! Worth to purchase as photobook is a perfect way to treasure memories.
ReplyDeleteYes, really is! When I get older, I'll surely stare at these!
DeletePhotobook Philippines always offer good deals! Being an enthusiastic travel photographer, I definitely want to have my photos in print. This is one of my future projects. Hope there will be more promos to come c/o Photobook Philippines!
ReplyDeleteFortunately, there's still a lot in Metro deal. I hope I can also get more so I can start organizing my pending photos to print.
DeleteKapag mura talaga laging may catch no? hehehe. Ako naman nagpapaprint lang ng pictures tapos lagay sa album, siguro kapag nakatyempo ng ganyang deal, gora din ako! Miss you! :)

I miss you too gaw! See you soon! Oo, kasi daw it's too good to be true for 20 pesos gaw. haha.
DeleteI've ordered before and even ordered when the photobooks were totally free but I never got around to actually doing the album. I hope I can still catch this deal.
ReplyDeleteAw, so sayang! Sana you can get them again soon. And let me know pag meron, kuha ako uli! haha.
DeleteI haven't seen a photobook yet but it sounds like the modern version of our old photo albums right? It's nice that many people still prefer the hard copies instead of simply storing their photos either on Facebook or their memory cards
ReplyDeleteYes, it is! :) Iba kasi pag naka print! haha.
DeleteWhile there's free + easy access to store your photos online, yet it's a good thing to have a tangible one. Photobooks are indeed a fancy way to capture special occasions and milestones. Wasn't aware we have it in PH. Will surely check it out! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, they have one for their PH customers already. mejo mahal nga lang shipping pero it's still awesome for me. :)
DeleteA friend of mine gave me a voucher for this more than a year ago so we were supposed to get a couple of Photobooks for free. I started designing one already but never got around to finishing it. Sayang talaga!
ReplyDeleteAw, sayang nga, Mommy!
DeleteAy, Mommy Gracie also posted about this today. I'm planning to try it too. I hope that it won't decline my low res photos as the other photo book app I tried before.
ReplyDeleteThey don't decline low res photos mommy may but they'll warn you na mejo di magiging clear ang print, it's up to you nalang if you want to proceed with it or not. :)
DeleteI'm assuming that a photo book is a variant of a photo album. While everything is going digital, having a hard copy is not a bad idea.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not a bad idea! :) It's awesome for me. Iba parin ang naka album.
DeleteBeen wanting to try this but Not finding time to organize the boys' photos. Iba pa rin talaga kapag hard copy ang tinitignan no?
ReplyDeleteAy, super iba sis Berlin! Madami kang naaalala e. at mas naaappreciate mo yung printed. I don't know why talaga but that's how I feel with printed photos. lol.
DeleteI should browse metrodeal more often! Lol! I want printed out copies of the photos too. I have them in my laptop in an OC sort of arrangement but having hard copies are so much nicer. Magaabang na ako :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Ready for transfer na pala yang sayo sa photobook sis! :)
DeleteThese days I just keep all photos in a portable hard drive. I just don't have the time nor inclination to make a photobook XD
ReplyDeleteHaha. That's understandable! :)
DeleteI have heard about photobook philippines before and I didn't know that their main office is located in Malaysia! But since the item is from abroad, did it require you to pay for tax?
ReplyDeleteNo, it didn't require tax, as far as I know. What I paid was exact, nothing else was charged.
DeleteWow ha! Panalo sa 20pesos mommy! I always like having hard copies ng photos. It's so nice that you can look at them whenever. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue! I always feel different when looking at hardcopies, you'll have tons of memories in one pic!
DeleteI haven't tried this service yet but this is an answered prayer. haha. I'm looking for photoprints for my friend's wedding. MOH duties. (lol) thanks for posting this! :)
ReplyDeletehaha! You're welcome! Good luck on the wedding, you'll do great!
DeleteThanks for posting this. I have tons of picture of my son and I am looking for a reliable photobook. This is very timely.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome sis! :)
DeletePhotobook PH costumer din. Naranasan ko na rin yong nag-expire ang voucher code ko. :D So ngayon, ang ginagawa ko is i downloaded the software first, set-up my pictures/photobook, then buy the voucher code kung ready na ako mag-upload. :D :D :D So far, ok naman.
ReplyDeleteI should download the software na din for my next purchase! ♥ I'm sure by next year may new photos na need i-album kami.
