Sundayvotion: 3 Simple Reasons to Thank God

Sometimes, we are bombarded with so many problems in life that we become so down, we don't know what to do, and we often forget that there are so many reasons to thank God in spite of all the circumstances that we experience.

Today, I would like to remind us of the 3 wonderful reasons to thank God and I hope that this will give us the reason to thank God no matter what circumstances we are currently facing. And may we all rest in the fact that even the problems have good reasons.

A Quick Pause

I just got off work and I am so drained but I'm happy it's finally my off. Wow, July's almost up, 1 more month and the BER months are back!

I can't tell if the time is fast or slow anymore. It feels like time flies but I also feel like Dane has been away for a veeeeery, very long time! Ugh, why do I feel so exhausted right now? :(

I didn't do my usual blog routine, I didn't do my daily journal and I didn't write any review last Wednesday. It's funny because I just wrote about not stopping the good work that we're doing on my devotion last Sunday, and here I am, literally pausing from what I'm usually doing.

I don't know, I can't seem to think straight during the past few days. I've been having on & off stomach ache and I felt too lazy to write. Or maybe, my brain drained and couldn't think anymore, lol. Whatever the reason is, I paused writing. I don't know what to write anymore. You see, my devotion was definitely for me. But in my mind - what good will others benefit if I write my daily thoughts? What good will it get if I write a review? In short, nagpadala ako sa sulsol that all this is nothing, that I'm writing for nothing and no one's reading my posts.

Wee Weekend Activities

Saturday was a lazy day for me! Nate and I just stayed home, did some fun stuff, sang, slept, and cut papers! Lol! Nate loves to cut papers and I let him do it with an adult supervision. Because if not, he'll either cut things he's not supposed to cut or accidentally cut his finger!

Yesterday was a busy day, I woke up at 5:30 and readied to go to church. Unfortunately, we were still late, but with consistency (and 30 mins early wake up time, we will make it on time, hopefully!). Our church is located in QC and we live here in San Mateo, we don't own a car so we commute going there. We need to leave at least 1 hour earlier than the start time to make it there on time. We were able to do that before, but now, we greatly fail at it. I hope we can do it again and be able to go to church on time. huhu.

THE GANG! Me and my team, on our way to church.

Sundayvotion: "I am Doing a Great Work, I Cannot Come Down"

Today’s Sundayvotion is from the worship service that we had earlier from the book of Nehemiah. How many times in our lives were we doing good things but were suddenly side-tracked? We may not notice that, but even in the simple things that we do at home, this happens.

Nehemiah is a prophet who worked as a cup bearer during his time. He was called by God to rebuild the destroyed wall of Jerusalem. After the Israelite’s captivity to the Babylonians, they were in great need of protection. A wall back in the days is a sign of strength and power to the enemies. If you have a strong wall that surrounds your city, it can mean that God’s blessing and protection is upon you, in the face of your enemy. This was why Nehemiah helped in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.

Wednesday Wreview: 4 Things I Learned about Lazada Return/Refund Policy

I'm a Lazada shopper for years. Not that I shop very often but as I checked my account, it turned out I had a total of 8 items ordered from Lazada since 2013, these were the orders that I placed using my account, not counting those that I ordered as a guest, which I think would also be about 5. One of these orders was cancelled without my knowledge but I was informed of the status of it later on.

The most recent order I made had a missing part on it, the USB which makes everything else completely useless. Whether it be a blessing or a curse, I learned so many lessons, and I hope these lessons can make me a wiser buyer in the future.

The Order: Specifications of Ultra-Thin Fashion 2.4G Optical Wireless Keyboard with Cover and Mouse Kit (White)
The Problem: Wrong Color received and there was a missing part (USB to be exact)

1. Always check the reviews
This doesn't just apply to Lazada orders but to all online orders that we make. I was too careless not to check the review because I was so confident that I won't have any issues with Lazada, I was wrong. Had I checked the reviews, I would've known that the supplier I was about to order my product with doesn't provide a good service.

The first comment was mine, of course. But if I was too wise to check the reviews, I would probably be hesitant to order - lesson learned.

Sundayvotion: Stewardship and Money Principles

For today's devotion, I would like to talk about money and stewardship, not as a financial expert but as someone who also needs to be reminded about being good at handling the things that God has entrusted to me.

Wednesday Wreview: Belo Baby Hair & Body Wash VS Belo Baby Bar Soap

Moms like us want nothing but best for our children. This is why some parents prefer all-natural and 100% safe for their kids, from the food they eat to the products they use since there are so many harmful chemicals nowadays that can affect not only our kids health.

Earlier this year, Belo has introduced its new product line: the Belo Baby. Belo Baby came up with skin care products, from lotion, to baby soaps that are 100% all natural and has 0% harmful chemicals. I am one of the few who won the giveaway and try most of the products for free.

Greenwich Pizza Party: The New Bacon Crispy Thins

Last Friday, was a big day for Greenwich in SM San Mateo as it was the launching of the new Greenwich bacon crispy thins. This new pizza flavor might be your newest fave! The new Greenwich bacon crispy thins is baconized and cheesified to satisfy your pizza craving! I'm happy to be able to attend this event with my Nate, my sister and her classmate (not all events allow plus 2, or even plus 1, you know what I mean? hehe). I had people to help me with Nate, that's a great convenience for me. I could take lots of photos since I wouldn't have a hard time!

Beb's Going Straight Salon Experience

A few weeks back, I posted about our awesome experience in Going Straight Salon. On that post, I didn't mention that we took home a few goodies with us. We got a set of Going Straight Shampoo and conditioner for our hair, hair mousse and several discount cards.

My sister, Beb, was so happy, she made sure to keep the hair treatment gift card on there and tried it the following week in Going Straight Salon - Ever Gotesco branch. So of course, I asked how her experience was.

Sundayvotion: Pray for your Leaders

Now that the inauguration of the new president and vice president just concluded, the new administrations starts rolling out their plans for the country. And we, as the citizens of the republic of the Philippines, are hopeful for the change that the new administration brings.

If we go back to the bible times, we will see that after the flood, God has given authority for man to rule. This was when the human government started. A human agency known as civil government was divinely appointed to restrain evil and protect man from his own sinful nature.
