Quote I learned this week: "Failure is not falling down but refusing to give up." |
Wow! Who would've thought that it's been 8 months since Jan 2016, ang bilis ng panahon! Konting tiis pa, uuwi din si Dane! hehe. Today, my brother-in-law left to work in Batangas. That's a new change here at home so we have to find someone who can help us here at home every time I need to go online to work and do my blogging stuff.

August 2, 2016 - Quiet, Cozy bed weather
The bed weather is making our house more quiet! haha. I'm playing Rio soundtrack on the background while doing my blogging so Nate can have something to watch. Hopefully I get to finish everything that I have to do so we can have time to play.
Last night was such a busy day at work what made is worse was my migraine. I'm happy I was able to finish the entire shift. The migraine didn't stop 'til I took Biogesic though. Salamat nalang at gumagaling sa Biogesic ang sakit ng ulo. Parang dumadalas pa naman ang migraine ko ngayon.
August 3, 2016 - Bunso's flight schedule
Today, our youngest sister will fly from Davao to stay here for a little while. I hope all goes we'll. She's only 16 and she'll be travelling alone. I'm not sure if that is OK, but as per Cebu Pacific, she's considered an adult.

That's her. :) |
I'm a little worried because my brother said it's raining in Davao, but I know God will take care of her. I can't wait to see her again, it's been 8 months since we've last met, so I'm happy she could come, although still a bit sad that she stopped studying, I won't force her to go to school.

August 4, 2016 - Sister's here + a simple DIY
They arrived at around 11:30 PM last night. My sister is finally here! Thank God for the safe trip. It was her first flight alone. And she broke the record, among the 4 of us, she's the one who flew alone before reaching 18. My sister's thin, just like me when I was her age. I'm so happy she's here. And it's great that Nate never forgot about her and he loves to play with her too. I hope nanay, tatay and our brother are OK back at home. God willing, we'll see each other again next year (still hoping and praying.
I was able to make a little and simple project at home. Inspired by a post I saw in Mommy Bloggers PH, I recycled Nate's crib and used it as a desk. I finished it for about 1.5 hours and I'm happy of the outcome. It's a lot more organized for me, my eyes are satisfied, lol!

What I did was I got rid of Nate's tray for some of his books, toys and shoe rack (as well as the table), I put it on the other corner, I used Nate's crib and put some of his clothes (our clothes are in the 2nd fl and we don't want to keep going up and down to get his clothes so we got a few pairs downstairs), books, toys, and the old telephone that I have with Globe (he likes to play with it! lol). It's not as awesome as the others that we see online but for me it's just right. :D

August 5, 2016 - Teen's Bible Study
For more than a month now, the teens in the neighborhood are having bible study at our place and I'm happy this continues. In fact some of them already knows and goes to us during Friday PM right away. I'm happy that the word of God is preached.
Today I prepared ham and egg sandwich for their snacks. I'm glad they liked it. hehe. Tomorrow's another busy day for Yael's 1st birthday. I bet it's gonna be exciting since there are other mommy bloggers I'm gonna meet! :)

Recycling the crib is a clever idea. Now it is all nice and organized! Great job Mommy!
ReplyDeleteThank you sis! :)
DeleteI love the idea of keeping track of your days of gratitude. Keep it up. And by the way, Nate's study area is sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I'd like to keep doing it too.
DeleteNever say never and don't give up while you are still alive, that's a good motto. We should know how to survive and sacrifice as we know that after all this predicaments in life, there will be much lighter and brighter that awaits in our future.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's a great reminder!
DeleteI like the idea of reusing your other stuff for other means! I'll definitely do that here at home too. I just wish that it will work, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will! ;)
DeleteYou are such a nice and supporting sister! There is nothing worse that doing something you don't really like. A breather is necessary in everyone's life. Some students who just graduated from junior school don't really go to Uni straight away. Some of them travel or just having a break with family before embarking on a University life which we know what it's like.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I'm sure she'll go back to schooling next year. You're right, sometimes, we need a break.
DeleteNice job with the crib!!! hmmnn.. now you made me think on what to do with my daughter's when she doesn't need it anymore.
ReplyDeleteThank you sis! You can make it a study table for them. I think it'd be really cute!
