TupperwareBrand's Baby Care Plus+

About 10 days ago, I was one of the mommy bloggers who were blessed to be given the chance to try the Baby Care Plus+ products from Tupperware brands. Nate has tried their baby powder before but he has never tried the rest.

Tupperware, our mom's favorite kitchenware brand has now expanded its scope. Just today, I found out they already have perfumes, household stuff and many other things. I was surprised they're not just limited to plastic wares now. And even though my mother is a Tupperware dealer, it's been more than a decade since I actually visited a Tupperware branch or store.

Wednesday Wreview: Hainanese Delights Robinsons Galleria

Last Monday, Nate and I were supposed to join little crafter’s playschool in Shangrila EDSA. Unfortunately, we came very late. And by late, I mean 30 minutes before the class ended. We were so stuck in a heavy traffic. I honestly thought of not going while in the middle of the trip going there but then I realized, my friend, Berlin was there with her son Yael so we decided to still go anyway.

By the time we arrived, the kids have already sung many songs and were just playing on their own. Nate didn’t feel like joining the little kids so I didn’t force him to hop in. After about 10 – 15 minutes, Nate said he wanted to leave and buy something to eat.  I was just planning to buy some snacks then go back to the venue but then Berlin said they’ll go with us already so we decided to eat lunch.

12 Important Things About Long Distance Relationship

Today marks Dane's 1st year as an OFW. If you are to ask me how I feel about it, I’ll say that I feel proud that we made it this far – well, I knew we’d get through this together, and even longer, but of course, we don’t know what lies ahead. If I were to remember, the first night that he left, I felt sooo empty and lonely… and worried!

The past year for me was too long and too short at the same time. I don't really know what to feel now that we only have 1 year left 'til he's home. We are halfway through this challenging phase. And God knows in our hearts, that we never want this to ever happen again.

Since today's his 1st year away from us, I'd like to talk about 12 important (referencing to the 12 months in a year) things that I can think of when I think about our current situation as long-distance married couples.

6 Tips on How to Help Young Children Learn to Write

If you are a forethoughtful and attentive parent you won`t put the responsibility of learning your child to write on school teachers. The success and progress of kids depends on the persistence of their parents. If a child shows excellent results at the classes this is not because he is a genius it is because parents put maximum efforts in his some lessons.

Anecdotes from Tots :)

This post is inspired by my friend Berlin of We knew each other since earlier this year and have met 4 times since then. I like her because she’s easy to get along with and kind. A mother of 4, Berlin loves to write about her experiences as a mom, her advocacies and the things that she learns from workshops and seminars she attended to. We call her “supermom”, because she just is a supermom! I can't imagine how she managed everything while here I am having a hard time and I only have 1 kid! *laughs hysterically*.

This is us after Yael's photoshoot :)

I like her posts about anecdotes from tots. It’s wonderful how little kids can make us smile, feel embarrassed and realize so many things just by the simple words they tell us, it’s just amazing! So today, I’m gonna try to remember a few funny anecdotes from Nate.

ZPPAi: A Look Back

This is shameless throwback from about 7 years ago. I’m grinning right now while writing this! I can’t believe how time flies. In this photo is Dane as Jesus during our performance during our Zaphenath Paneah Performing Arts Inc. presentation. And the person kneeling wearing blue was me! *shaking my head, laughing!*

4 'aha! Moments' During Our Natural Healing Seminar

Natural Healing Seminar with these lovely ladies
My first Saturday for this month was such a productive one! I spent it in The Parenting Emporium together with 3 of my mommy blogger friends, Mhaan, Madz, and Berlin. We learned about the many natural healing options that we can use for our family's medication and I can't not share them here. :)

Here are the things that I learned during the seminar:

Sundayvotion: Potter and Clay

Clay pots are known for its great quality. Ancient people have used clay pots to cook. Even nowadays, there are still people who'd rather use these in the kitchen rather than those pots that we can buy from the stores.

My Personal Take on Happiness

Ever since we’re young, we’re told that happiness is the key to almost everything in life. With that inculcated in our minds, we grew up knowing that life is nothing without happiness. Happiness is what makes us complete, it’s what keeps us going.

If we are to ask Wikipedia about what happiness is, it’ll say: “happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Happy mental states may also reflect judgments by a person about their overall well-being.”

Dealing with Dengue Mosquitoes

Finally, a safe and effective way to deal with dengue mosquitoes
Here in the tropics, the rainy season is also the season for Dengue, a potentially deadly, yet all too common mosquito borne disease.  Last year there were over 200,000 cases of Dengue fever reported in the Philippines, and almost 600 were fatalities.  What is alarming is that this was way up from the 121,000 reported instances in 2014.  More alarming still is that just this year, the DOH has reported 70,000 Dengue cases from January to July, the supposed lean Dengue months, this is 19% more than the same period last year.   It is now more imperative than ever that measures be taken to curb Dengue, and the best way to do that is to control the numbers of Dengue Mosquitoes.
